Online Guerrilla Resources

I recently stumbled upon a guerrilla warfare manual from some Anarchist Page. It seems to have some value, and does point to some good resources. I think it is important to note that there is no such thing as too much research when it comes to such matters. I have spend a good amount of my academic career studying guerrilla movements in Latin America and now Québec. Additionally I also do a lot of research on tactics and weaponry as well a shooting guns a fair amount and conducting maneuvers in the woods of Vermont with my friends. Being a "revolutionary" is not hobby, interest or ideology, it is a lifestyle. One cannot be militant without studying how to fight a war. This means shooting guns at a bare minimum.
A couple of people have mentioned the CIA manual "Psychological Operations in Guerrilla Warfare". thanks to aaron d. for posting that in his comments. it is in ballistic helmet's library, although the site is currently down, but not the library it appears.

Quick List

Check out these books:
Guerrilla Warfare Che Guevara
Knife Fighting, Knife Throwing For Combat and Basic Stick Fighting for Combat, Michael Echanis
Special Forces Guerrilla Warfare Manual, Scott Wimberley
The Anarchist Cookbook (Read critically, this book is full of a lot of outdate or just plain false information)

I can attest that all of these books kick ass, each in their own way.

Shotguns of the World

One popular topic of conversation and controversy, particularly discussion boards likes those found on The Gun Network is what is the best weapon for combat situation X (i.e. invasion on American soil, urban combat, etc.)? For most situations, I am a big fan of shotguns in general and specifically 12 gauge. I have dreams of mounting an 8 gauge on a light pickup or jeep. One of the main reasons I like 12 gauge is the versatility of ammo available. Beyond regular metal shot (don't try anything less than buckshot against human targets), there are a variety of "specialty" ammo that can be special ordered from catalogs or websites, such as Hi-Vel Inc. Another great thing is the variety of ways in which you can modify the actual shotgun. Check out Wick's Trading Post for stocks, grips and other ways to trick out your "street-sweeper." I have a Mossberg 500 that I picked up for a buck fifty through private transfer from a guy that I found in the classifieds. This and the Remington 870 are the most popular shotguns in the world so they are very easy to find parts for. But the AAI CAWS is the ultimate shotgun, or anything that is clip fed, like the .410 drum-clip fed shotgun pistol, the Cobray SWD Ladies Home Companion.

The Urban Guerrilla

The blog is an attempt to share the massive amount of resources that I have found during my quest for knowledge. Specifically, information pertaining to or assisting in preparing for the revolution. I will post rants, links, files, reviews of books and movies, etc., etc.....

For my first post I am putting up a link to The Minimanual of the Urban Guerrilla. To be honest I haven't read that much of it as I have just come across it at Ballistic Helmet a pretty cool blogish type page to check out, especially the Library Section. The book was written by a Brazilian urban guerrilla in the 1960's named Carlos Marighella. Seems like a nice quick read without a lot of fluff and pretty accessible as well.

Also if you have itunes, check out a podcast called Assault Rifle Basics. It is pretty kick ass and has taught me a lot about guns.
