Songs of Rebellion- Pete Seeger, Little Boxes

In honor of my recent move to California...

Updated: Songs of Rebellion: Sinead O'Connor & the Chieftains- The Foggy Dew

A dear friend of mine included a version of this song in his final performance as a music student. It was the first time I had heard it and it instantly captured my imagination. After researching the song, I realized Foggy Dew has a ballad telling of the courageous revolutionary spirit of the Irish against English Imperialism during the Easter Rebellion of 1916. Ahhh the days of draft riots...

I believe, this is the version that the Dropkick Murphys play before their concerts. However I am particularly found of the version by the Clancy Brothers, but this makes for a better video. UPDATE: I found this great version that uses film from The Wind that Shook the Barely, which I highly recommend watching for both historical education and training purposes.

New Features/Blog Updates

Blogger finally added a feature that always made me jealous of Wordpress. I am now able to post permanent "pages" in addition to posts. You will notice that there is now a bar at the top of the page where I have compiled films and audio that I have posted over the years and transferred the hosted files page over from Google Sites. I also added a brief "About Me" section. I will be continuously adding new content to this pages.

Also for all those interested parties, I have left Vermont temporarily and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, where I will try to not get into TOO much trouble.
