Freegan Ammo FTW!

I recently dumpstered/freegan-ized the above pictured ammo from an abandoned house, around 450 rounds of .22 lr and 50 rounds of .38 special. The house had already been robbed of the guns, which I have heard is pretty common when houses are left uninhabited by death or other purposes. I have gotten freegan ammo before, but none in as good as condition as these vintage boxes.

In my neck of the woods (Alaska), there are "transfer stations" where trash is taken by people who live outside of town. There is even a "re-use platfrom" for re-useables.

"Freeganism" abounds at such places.

Stop on by my blog if you want. I check in here once in a while, even though we are about as far apart ideologically as possible.

You have posted resources I find useful, I may have some you enjoy as well.

We have the same thing in rural vermont, complete with an area for second+ hand items, except we called it the "plough-share." They also had a metal recyling dumpster that I pulled lots of great targets out of. True, "freeganism" is nothing new, we youngsters have just slapped a new name on it, coupled it with anti-capitalism or anti-consumerism in many cases and call it our own.
Glad you enjoy the blog, I will certain see what yours is all about.
