Tip of the Day: Hold Regular Meetings

If you are involved with organizing a new group or network, it is extremely useful to have regular meetings. This meetings can take any form you like, the point is having an easy way for people to be involved and to get involved. Being able to tell people "Come check us out every Thursday at 9pm at 555 High st" is really helpful when trying to transition from street-level interactions to an active, cohesive group or network, or simply trying to grow your numbers.

What can you do if you live in a conservative state? I live in wyoming and have similar political beliefs but in my community there is nothing but people that believe the rhetoric of the conservative party. I have no one to meet with and need to know how to become active.

Never having lived in a conservative state, I am probably not the person to ask. But I always point to the success of the Utah Valley University Revolutionary Students Union, who do extraordinary work in a very conservative area.

You almost might try looking for just "progressive" groups and go to some meeting and see if there are like-minded radicals there.

If all else fails, start reading and most importantly WRITING. There are a multitude of ways one can "support the revolution", you just have to find yours.
